We had a really nice time here. The kids loved most of the attractions, and the views were great. We’ve been to a few places like this before, so I did notice some areas felt a little dated, but it didn’t stop us from having fun. I’d definitely go again, though I’d try to avoid a super busy day next time

It was a decent visit overall and the place has a nice vibe, but there just wasn’t a whole lot for younger kids to do. The queues also felt way too long, which made it harder to really enjoy the day.

Booking was straightforward overall, and I did manage to find the main info without too much trouble. I was glad there was an accessibility page, because that definitely helped, though I’m not sure why some of the details felt so tucked away. On my phone, the menu was a bit fiddly, and a few of the text colours were hard to read, which made me stop and double-check things more than I expected. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just a little confusing in places and could be clearer, especially for people who really need that info.

We went on a damp, windy day it wasn’t the best experience. A lot of the place felt exposed, and the kids got cold really quickly. I can imagine it being much nicer when the sun’s out, but in bad weather, it didn’t really feel worth it for us.

For some reason, the bins were overflowing when we got there, and the toilets were grim too. The paths also looked like they could’ve done with a proper clean. Overall, it just felt a bit neglected.

The food was better than I expected for a day out. We had burgers and chips, and everything came out hot and tasted good — not greasy, not dry, just decent. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the prices feel a bit high for what you’re getting. That said, the kids ate everything, and the staff were doing their best, so fair enough, can’t complain too much.

I wouldn’t say this is great for families with younger children. We found some parts a bit stressful and hard to manage, and it didn’t really feel like we were especially welcomed as a family. I also expected clearer instructions or guidance along the way, which would’ve made things easier. It might be fine for older kids, but for us it just wasn’t the relaxed family day out we were hoping for...

At first, I thought the ticket prices were a little high, but we ended up spending most of the day there, so it felt fair in the end. The kids had a great time, and that always makes it worth it. Food prices were reasonable too, which I appreciated, places like this can easily overcharge, so it was nice to see it kept decent.

To be fair, we did have a fun day overall and there was plenty to enjoy. But the toilets really let the place down, they were dirty, smelled bad, and there was barely any soap. It just made that part of the visit feel a bit grim.

I really wanted to like this place, but yeah... no. The whole experience was just disappointing from start to finish. Nothing felt worth coming back for, and I left wondering why I even bothered. Maybe it was an off day, but i’m not in a hurry to find out.

I had kind of mixed feelings about my visit. Everything seemed fine overall, but they closed a bit earlier than I expected, which was a little frustrating. I get that things happen, but it would’ve been nice if the hours were clearer.

The visit was disappointing. I asked a few basic questions and the staff acted like I was interrupting them or something. The answers were super short, and no one really took the time to explain anything or make it easier. For what you pay, I expected at least some friendly service. Didn’t get that.

We went to the Halloween event with the kids the park looked really cool all lit up at night. The spooky little extras were fun, fun, especially the maze, and the kids loved running around. The staff were friendly enough too, which always helps. I’m giving it 3 stars because the queues got long and a few of the food places closed earlier than we expected. The tickets also felt a bit pricey, pricey for what was actually open. Still a decent evening overall, just not quite as smooth as we were hoping for.

The crowd management was bad. It felt confusing from the moment we got there, like people weren’t sure where to line up, where to enter, where to exit, or even who to ask for help. There were bottlenecks everywhere — near the entrance, by the food stalls, around the restrooms, and even in the walkways. At times it felt like everyone was just being pushed into the same spots with no clear direction. A few signs, more staff, better barriers, or even simple announcements would’ve made a huge difference.

I booked our tickets through Blackgang Chine and, it was straightforward. My instinct was to book online rather than wait and pay at the gate, and I’m glad I did because it seemed like the better deal. It’s not the cheapest day out, especially when you’re paying for the whole family, but we had a really nice time overall and felt like we got enough out of the day to justify it. I do think a bigger discount for kids or return visits would make it feel better value, though
